2025 Voter Precinct Proposed Changes
Per state statute (ARS 16-411), Maricopa County is considering updating voting precincts later this month to accommodate population growth and align precincts with other local jurisdiction boundaries that have recently changed or that are in the process of changing. Of the 935 current Maricopa County precincts, 739 will not be impacted by the proposed changes. Of the 196 precincts that may be impacted, most changes will not impact any voters or will only affect a small number of voters.
By Oct. 1, 2025, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors must vote on proposed changes to voter precincts. The proposed changes seek to address:
- Eliminating “no-voter” precincts
- Resolving city and school district splits
- Correcting boundary issues created during redistricting
- Reducing size of precincts
Maricopa County will host five virtual meetings in September. These meetings will provide an overview of proposed changes to current voter precincts and give the public an opportunity to provide public comment on the proposed changes. Each County District will have a virtual meeting that will summarize changes within that district.
Members of the public may also submit comments at the bottom of this page. Comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025.
