Maricopa County Elections is the filing officer for Initiatives, Referendums, and Recalls regarding County level issues and candidates. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 19-111(A)-(B), all applications for petitions must be filed with the County and receive a serial number before they can start circulating.
All active applications for serial numbers filed in 2023-2024 with Maricopa County are listed below. Additionally, information regarding Proposition 479 for the 2024 General Election is available below.
For information about Statewide Initiatives, Referendums, and Recalls, visit the Secretary of State’s website.
Proposition 479 will appear on the 2024 General Election Ballot, and a publicity pamphlet will be sent to each Maricopa County household with a registered voter in September.
The publicity pamphlet will provide information about voting in the upcoming election, a summary of the regional strategic transportation infrastructure investment plan, and arguments supporting and opposing the ballot measure.
The deadline to submit For/Against arguments for Proposition 479 was July 16 at 11:59 PM.
