This was the highest number of ballots ever recorded in a primary election in Maricopa County.

The county provided voters with 27-days of in-person voting at sites across the county, including 210 Vote Center options on Election Day. Voters that requested an early ballot had the ability to return it by mail or at hundreds of secure Vote Centers, city/town clerk offices or election offices in the county.

  • Election Day ballots: 106,459
  • Provisional ballots counted: 1,225

The accuracy of the results were confirmed by a hand count audit conducted by Maricopa County political party appointees. The hand count boards audited four contests including Governor and U.S. Senator on over 5,000 early ballots and ballots 3,000 election day ballots from five Vote Centers.

The Election Department’s post-election Logic and Accuracy Test is scheduled for Friday, August 12 at 10 a.m. This series of tests confirms that the software, firmware, and specific election program was not altered during the period between the pre- and post-election Logic and Accuracy tests.
