There are an estimated 265,000-275,000 remaining ballots. Below is the breakdown:
- Estimated Election Day ballots to be reported: 5,000
- Estimated early ballots left to process and tabulate: 254,000
- Estimated number of early ballots left to cure: 13,000
- Estimated provisional ballots left to research: 1,114 (7,885 total)
The Elections Department will do another update of unofficial results daily.
Today, staff completed the verification of the historic 290,000 early ballots dropped off on Election Day.
This is now the third full day since Election Day. In Maricopa County, final results are typically reported 10-12 days following Election Day.
Tomorrow, Saturday, November 12, the Elections Department will host the county’s politically appointed hand count boards as they validate the accuracy of the tabulation system through a random hand count audit.
Conducted by three member boards of differing political parties, the audit provides participants an opportunity to ensure the results of the tabulation equipment matches that of the ballots of randomly selected races counted by hand.
Early ballot processing staff continues to work on provisional and early ballots that require additional verification before they can be counted. The last day voters can cure a signature issue or provide ID for a conditional provisional ballot is Wednesday, November 16 at 5 p.m.
